It will be an open photobooth with a camera and a backdrop. Everything is automated, but I will be there to help out. I can close in the booth as well to have black curtains all the way around. The guests will recieve prints immediately and will be able to download the images from a gallery the next day as well.

Portraits at Van Saun Park

I shot this family in July and had a great time.  The weather was not the best and it rained on and off the whole time, but the girls stayed in great spirits! Very impressive for a 2 and 3 year old!

Shauna's Wedding

I shot this wedding back in December, but I wanted to share the Blurb ebook that I created from the event. This was my first time using Blurb e-books and I'd like to say, I'm very impressed! Take a look:

Thumbtack

I started working with a website called Thumbtack to gain some new leads on jobs.  So far it has been fantastic! In the past, I got a lot of my jobs through Facebook and word of mouth. I've met a lot of great clients through the site that I may not have met through my previous marketing.  I have had all great experiences so far.  Check out my Thumbtack profile:

I wish I had heard about this website sooner!

David and Bailey

David and Bailey got engaged back in June in Times Square.  While I wasnt able to be there, they did let me take their engagement pictures on the beach.  The timing wasnt perfect lighting-wise, but I think we made the best of it!

SRO (Standing Room Only)

A few weeks ago, I went out to the Peppermill South to shoot a friend's band. They are a fantastic band! If you near Rockland county, NY, you must check them out. They play covers along with a few originals of their own.

Family Birthday Party (30, 40, 50, 60, 90)

In my small family, we just happened to have 6 family members birthdays all fall on the decade. So of course, we threw a big party! We had a fantastic time as always. I miss everyone already though!
My grandfather in the middle at age 90. The man still lives by himself and acts like he's in his late 70s (and younger some days).
My cousin David got engaged on the same weekend!
My littlest one (also known as lil Stac) rocking the 4t t-shirt at age one!

Baby Layla

This precious little one was 10 days old at the time of the shoot. She was the perfect little baby and slept almost the whole time. She is absolutely adorable!

Birthday Party at Space Odyssey USA

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the Meneilly family again at their oldest son's birthday.  He was turning five and loved Spiderman, so they found Space Odyssey USA in Englewood to have the party.  As always, Suzi knows how to put together a great party!
George could hardly contain himself when Spiderman arrived!
George had the most fun playing with his dad!
Happy Birthday George!

Tenafly Nature Center Dinner 2013

I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot an event for the Tenafly Nature Center last month. It was a dinner and silent auction with about 250 attendees.  A friend of mine from elementary school had seen my page through Facebook and I asked me to the do the event.  I had a wonderful time and was honored to be able to shoot it for them. I even donated a portrait session for the silent auction :)  View of the pictures: Tenafly Nature Center Website or Clare Photography Website

Ways to Share Photos

I have been looking at alternative ways to share photos with clients and family besides the typical outlets. I usually use my Wix website to share images, but I don't like to keep the images up there forever. I also use Facebook, but I try to keep the number of files to a minimum. These are two things that I have started to use:

E-books through Blurb (http://www.blurb.com/ebook). These are a great way to share images with anyone that has an Ipad. You can create an e-book in conjunction with a physical book or by itself.
Benefits/Drawbacks:
  • Easy to create: There are several options for designing your book - either by using their propitiatory software, Adobe® InDesign® or Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom® 4. I used Lightroom and found it very straightforward and easy to use. The great thing about Lightroom, is that you can also export the file as a PDF. This can be helpful if you want to get approval from clients prior to uploading to Blurb.
  • Inexpensive: it's only $10 for an e-book. Can't beat that!
  • Accessible: It's set up in the Blurb and Apple bookstore, so anyone can access the book easily.
  • Privacy: You can share it with whoever you want. You can adjust the privacy in the store to allow only those with a specific web address would be able to access the book or make it searchable by anyone.
  • Ipad only: I'm sure in the future, they will expand it to other devices

Slideshows: Slideshows created in Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom® are another great way to share images. Benefits/Drawbacks:
  • Layout: Nice to easily scroll through all the images
  • Format: it's created in .mp4 format, so it can be viewed through Windows Media Player or Itunes.
  • File Size: the files can be rather large and need to be shared via Google Drive or something else that can easily share a 500MB files.
These are just things that I have worked for me! I am sure I will find more things as I go along!
